This is Eminence Soccer.

If there is any soccer player on the planet that needs no introduction, it’s Lionel Messi. From Buenos Aires to Barcelona and every other corner of the planet, they know all about the Argentine astro and his achievements.

Messi’s popularity knows no bounds as he stands as one of the most accomplished players of all time. From authoring some of the most ravishing goals ever seen to hoisting some of the most important trophies in the game, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is an inspiration for Argentina, Barcelona and future generations.

There’s no need to wait until he hangs up the boots and calls it a career to heap Cristiano Ronaldo with the type of praise he deserves. It’s more than OK to call him a legend now, well before he retires.

The Portuguese idol is as glorious a player as the beautiful game has ever seen or perhaps will ever see. The perfect blend of power, speed, finesse and touch, “CR7” is the epitome of a modern-day footballer. To say you have seen Ronaldo claim trophies with Real Madrid and his national team is to say you’ve seen an icon at his finest.

The caliber of signers in Eminence is truly high-class. Find autographs from Ballon d’Or winners, Champions League legends, and heroes whose World Cup moments will live on for eternity. Eminence also features the first certified autographs of more than 10 lege nds of the game.

Eminence boasts the highest quality cards the hobby has ever seen. There are four autograph sets that are true 1-of-1s: Transcendent Talents, Double Diamond Autographs, Quad Diamond Autographs, and One of a Kind. Additionally, all autograph sets contain a Platinum 1-of-1 parallel.

For the first time, find autograph cards with the studs from matc h-worn soccer boots. Stud Signatures features signatures of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Harry Kane and more.

Without David Villa, there is no victory for Spain at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. History tells us as much, as La Furia Roja might have never called itself a world champion for the first time without the services of the first-rate forward, who accounted for five of the eight Spanish goals in South Africa. Lethal for his clubs — he starred domestically at Valencia, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid — Villa, besides being his country’s career leader in World Cup goals with nine, is also the national team’s all-time leading scorer with 59 strikes.

The golden Pelé years became history as the 1970s started to un fold, thus Brazil turned to a new generation of stars. Falcão came along to keep the Verde-Amarela playing its traditional brand of beautiful, free-flowing football. Named one of FIFA’S 125 Greatest Living Footballers by Pelé in 2004, the elegant midfielder opened his career at Internacional and found more fame with superb play at Roma in t he 1980s. He was at the peak of his powers at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, where Falcão waltzed to the Silver Ball on the streng th of a three-goal showing.

Perhaps one Italian legend, Paolo Maldini, did the best job of summarizing another — Franco Baresi — with one word, labeling the AC Milan and Azzurri defender “special.” In the argument for greatest center-back in a country where they specialize in rolling out impeccable center-backs, the career-long AC Milan star sank Serie A forward’s spirits from 1977 until 1997. Fearless and practically flawless at his position, Baresi won six league championships and three European Cups. With his national team, he claimed the 1982 FIFA World Cup.

Italy took a risk on the way to the 1982 FIFA World Cup, adding Paolo Rossi, who played all of three matches with Juventus in 1981-82, to the roster. It was a gamble that paid off with a slew of silverware. Rossi found the form of his life just in time for the tournament. He pumped in six goals, including the opener during the Azzurri’s 3-1 victory over West Germany in the final, and left Spain with the FIFA World Cup trophy, the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball. The golden theme extended to another piece of hardware, with Rossi also capturing the 1982 Ballon d’Or.

Besides being in it for the trophies, Dino Zoff was in the game for the long haul. An ageless wonder for the Italian national team and in Serie A — he participated in 570 league matches from 1961 through 1983 — Zoff manned the net at the game’s highest level until the age of 41. A six-time league champion with Juventus and a UEFA Cup winner with the Bianconeri in 1966-67, he found his ultimat e international success with the Azzurri in 1982. Besides wearing the gloves for Italy at that FIFA World Cup, he wore the armband and captained his team to glory.

It can be said that Luigi Riva enjoyed booming success as a professional football player, making plenty of noise with Cagliari and the Italian national team. There’s a reason they called him the “Rombo di Tuono” (Roar of Thunder). Given his prolific left foot and bravery in the opposi ng penalty area, Riva roared as one of the most trustworthy finishers the Azzurri have ever fielded. The proof is in the numbers. Riva put away 35 goals in an international career that spanned from 1965-1974, and he still ranks as Italy’s all-time goals king.

West Ham United claimed Geoff Hurst as one of their own, and rightfully so. The club groomed him in its system and watched him flourish as a 1964 FA Cup winner and 1965 UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup champion. By the end of the 1966 FIFA World Cup, he belonged to the ages. Hurst joined the game’s immortals with one of the most storied performances in tournament annals. Facing West Germany at the hallowed ground otherwise known as Wembley Stadium, the striker authored the first and only hat trick in a FIFA World Cup final. England prevailed, 4-2, in extra time.

Goalkeepers are a different breed from the rest of the players on a pitch. They are perfectionists – nothing less than an error-free afternoon will do for the men assigned to stand guard underneath the woodwork. Gordon Banks, of course, employed that mind-set, and he had the tools to stonewall the world’s greatest goal-scorers (think save of the century
vs. Pelé at the 1970 FIFA World Cup). A 1966 FIFA World Cup champion with England, Banks, a six-time FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year, will forever be hailed as one of the finest custodians the game has ever seen.

For the very first time, look for on-card autograph booklets. Passing the Torch highlights the lineage of two players on one national team. Team Tandems features players that formed unstoppable duos on the world soccer stage.

Celebrate the heritage of the most iconic national teams in soccer history with the debut of Octet Signature Booklets. These cards feature eight autographs of players who span decades of World Cup and national competitions.
