Historic Fantasy Game Joins 'CFV' in October!

Bushiroad has licensed the online historical fantasy game Touken Ranbu - ONLINE for its Cardfight!! Vanguard G collectible card game. The Touken Ranbu – ONLINE booster set will release on October 30.

In DMM and Nitroplus’ online game, players become time-travelling “Saniwa Sages,” who must defeat evil villains intent on changing the course of history. They use their powers to animate objects, most notably famous historical swords, and then raise armies to defeat the villains. In Cardfight!! Vanguard G, these characters are recreated through the new “Touken Danshi” clan which features their “Shinken Hissatsu” and “MVP” powers.

The Touken Ranbu – ONLINE title booster set includes 42 new cards, featuring artwork from the original game, with these rarities: GR: 1 / RRR: 5 / RR: 8 / R: 11 / C: 17, plus 5 SP parallel cards. It will be packaged in 7 card booster packs, with each pack having one R card plus a second R or above. MSRP is $4.50. Packs will come 12 to a display.

A Sneak Preview event is scheduled for the weekend of October 23 through 25. Special Sneak Preview kits will be available, each containing 32 booster packs (4 packs per player), 8 plus 1 (1 type) promo cards, and two premium rubber playmats.
