FROM SEXTANT STUDIOS: WORLDBREAKER: ADVENT OF THE KHANATE!

Worldbreakers: Advent of the Khanate is the debut board game from designer Elli Amir, named one to watch in the latest episode of leading YouTube channel Shut Up & Sit Down. Following the videos publication, Worldbreakers was rated number 3 in the BoardGameGeek Top Hotness list during the month of April. The games entire first printing was sold out within 10 days.

STRATEGIC AND FAST-PACED

You and your opponent alternate taking turns, each of which is composed of a single action (such as gaining 1 mythium, drawing a card, or attacking). This balances planning ahead while staying mindful of your opponents options. Sequencing and timing are crucial for success.

UNIQUE LOCATION CARDS

Location cards gain the player power and other impactful effects through the investment of time. However, they are expensive and vulnerable. This makes them a high-risk, high-reward mechanic that rewards proper planning.

MULTIPLE FORMAT SUPPORT

Worldbreakers is designed for three different formats: Tutorial, Constructed, and Draft. The game supports the spectrum between casual and hardcore players. Each person can pick their favorite way to play the game.

AWESOME GAMEPLAY

Worldbreakers draws inspiration from Magic: the Gathering, Netrunner, and worker-placement games such as Agricola to create tense gameplay which revolves around resource management, sequencing, and timing. The rules are familiar, but the game brings entirely new interactions. Its a whole new challenge for players, different from anything they experienced before.

ANOTHER TIME, ANOTHER PLACE

Worldbreakers is set in an alternate 13th century Mongolia, a unique setting in the gaming market. Flavor text and illustrations showcase this fascinating period, and we have done extensive historical research and worked with a team of advisers to make sure our representation is accurate and fair.

SEE YOURSELF

Worldbreakers features people who are rarely represented in games. Most of our characters are people of color, and 70% of our illustrations highlight women in powerful and prominent roles. Some of our characters are people with disabilities, and others are LGBTQ+. The only thing our characters have in common is that theyre all awesome.

FAIR DISTRIBUTION

We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy Worldbreakers. That’s why there are no booster packs and no premium cards. The game box will have all of the game’s cards, enough for two players to play all three available formats: Tutorial, Constructed, and Draft.
